THANKSGIVING

Today is Thanksgiving Day!!! It is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well.

We had a very good time in the library this week, didn´t we?? ... and I think we have also learned a lot from our mates at school. Here is a selection of the books you have recommended... and also a set of pictures of the nice moment we had.... looking forward to it next year!!

 

THAT´S ENGLISH EXAMS IN DECEMBER

My That´s English students should not forget that some of them have to take an exam in December. Here are the dates for them.... don´t forget if you need to take Modules 2 or 7 again!!

MEANS OF TRANSPORT DOMINOES

GUY FAWKES

Guy Fawkes Night is a very British celebration that takes place every year on November 5. It celebrates a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London in 1605. I would like you to commemorate the festival with some topic-related activities. Hope you enjoy them!!
