Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. It has been celebrated as Federal holiday every year since 1863. It´s one of the major holidays of the year, together with Christmas and New Year.

We have had a very good time in the library this week, haven't we?? ... and I think we have also learned a lot from our classmates. That´s why I would like to give you a selection of the books and films you have recommended: 

The little Prince, Forrest Gump, True Blood, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Locke, The Impossible...

Here is also a set of pictures of the relaxing moment we had.... Thanks a lot to all of you for hard work!!! I´m looking forward to it again next year!!

SOUNDS RIGHT

Sounds Right is the British Council first pronunciation chart for learners and teachers worldwide. This app is for your iPad and unfortunately it isn´t available for all smartphones yet. It is a very straightforward app but very helpful to learn English pronunciation. Besides, it´s been updated with iOS5 compatibility. MATER LINGUA: SPEAKING CLUBS

There are still vacancies for the speaking clubs Mater Lingua is organizing at the school. I recommend you to join them if you have the time. It would be a great opportunity to practise with a native English speaker. In case you are interested, have a look at their blog.
