HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November. It precedes Black Friday and one of the major holidays of the year, together with Christmas and New Year.

It is traditionally a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal, which often  includes a turkey and pumpkin pie. It is a time for people to give thanks for what they have. Lots of parades are held in cities and towns and they mark the opening of the Christmas shopping season.

I would like to inform you that it is time to.... relax!!! The school library is organising a great activity for students to  share their reading experiences in different languages. The last week before Christmas will be time for English, of course!! So, don´t miss the opportunity to bring in your favourite book and talk about it. I´ll let you know about it in class!!! Just ask!!!

BOOK CLUB AT VALLE INCLÁN HIGH SCHOOL

Why not joining the book discussion club at Valle Inclán High School? A great opportunity to make new friends and have a chat in English. Members have to read the first eight chapters of THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak and go to the meeting on 1 December (Room 5).
