HALLOWEEN IS COMING TO STAY!!

Halloween is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It initiates the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead.
Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY HAS A NEW BLOG

Now there is no excuse!! The library at the EOI is offering a new service to all students... so don't doubt to have a look at their new blog and keep up to date with the latest news!! ....remember how important reading in English it is for you and also that "Book lovers never go to bed alone!!"

MATERLINGUA_SPEAKING CLUBS

Once again the EOI students´association Materlingua is offering a wide range of courses for students at the school to practise their speaking skills. You can follow their blog to find all the information you need about them. Hope you have time to enjoy the experience of meeting new people, making new friends and having a little chat with them in English. Have fun!!

HOW AND WHEN TO APPLY FOR A GROUP CHANGE

Tomorrow you can already ask for a group change if  you think you need it. You can do it until October 30. Please, do not forget to fill in the form that you will find in "Conserjería". Read the instructions carefully and hope you´ll get an answer as soon as possible and can join your new group in short time.

LEARNING THE PARTS OF THE BODY AND HAVING LOTS OF FUN!!!

In today´s class we had a great time learning the parts of the body in English. It was a very challenging competition of students trying to stick labels onto their mates´ bodies... here is the result!! Congrats to the winners!!

STUDENT´S CARD

Remember that you need to update your STUDENT´S CARD for the new school year 2013-2014. I´ll collect all your cards in class and do it for you... so, don´t miss the opportunity!! Bring your cards to class and I´ll do the hard job. Take them to "secretaría" and update them.

NEW CONVERSATION ASSISTANT

Minnesota

I am glad to inform you that our English Department has just been appointed a new foreign language assistant for the school year 2013-2014.  Her name is Adrianne. She is from Minnesota in the USA and she will presumably be involved with conversation classes. This is her first time in Spain and is really interested in working at a school community. The former teacher we had, Kerry, was also an American, but from a different state, Indiana. We are looking forward to having Adrianne here next week. So, let´s get ready to give her a warm welcome!!
